Looking back on my content curation, I realised that the overall narratives of most of the stories did not change much when paired with other music videos. This is, in most cases at least, because the artist predominantly stick to one type of music genre which sometimes gives the impression that there is no development. This is why I thought it important to choose artists from a wide range of backgrounds.
I also believe that in a singular music video there is a depiction of a single moment, feeling, dream or theme. The music often exclusively focusing on this and the video bringing a scene that may have inspired or brought this theme to life to, at times, make it more relatable and relevant to what the artist is trying to convey. By continuing their own “musical moments”, the story may become less relatable as it make head into a direction that an individual did not interpret when listening and watching that video and therefore would not connect with.
However, I feel that the stories seemed more complete with the continuations, that they gave the videos more context and background, this also gives significance to the artist other songs and makes you want to watch the other videos to sedate your curiosity. Which will entice you to watch other videos from this artist.
